Accelerated
SAT Preparation, Review, Tutoring:
SAT
Preparation, Review Course, and Private Tutoring may be
arranged
for an upcoming test with short notice. We are able to
provide instruction for
SAT students that have time limitations.
Students
may request comprehensive SAT Prep Course and Custom Review
with Private Tutors or sign up for a section focused review such as SAT
Math, SAT Verbal and SAT Writing review. Admissions Consulting is offered
in addition to test preparation
services.

on the SAT Preparation, Review, Course, Class, Tutoring
The SAT
exam measures skills in three sets: quantitative, verbal, and writing.
SAT is a
skills-based test; however, with preparation, SAT students can increase
their SAT scores significantly.
College Board provides official SAT questions and
previously administered SAT tests.
HB Academics SAT Preparation and Review focus on
official SAT material, and
prepare SAT students for the scheduled official SAT.
Additional homeworks and
preparation material are offered to supplement the SAT Tests Review.
Students
should plan their preparation and review ahead of their actual SAT test
date. A typical
SAT preparation and review course spans approximately six to eight
weeks in
advance of the SAT administration. We recommend that the
students
take
the SAT once to score their best with necessary preparation and review
so that they
have the most competitive
SAT scores and standing when they apply to colleges. If a
second sitting is desirable, students may wish to continue their SAT
review and preparation lessons.
Students can learn the SAT material and attain the skills necessary
for success on the SAT.
SAT
Preparation and Review lessons are intensive. Between SAT
classes,
students are assigned supplementary SAT homework to prepare for review
sessions. On
average, students review ten official
SAT practice tests and more than 3,000 official SAT questions.
We
offer specialized SAT teaching, tutoring, preparation and review for
students who have learning
difficulties and disabilities that mandate accommodated SAT testing.
The pace
of
the SAT Review is customized to address the needs of the SAT
student. In addition, highly competitive teachers are
available to students who want to score a high percentile.
SAT quantitative sections will measure basic concepts
in Algebra, Numbers, Geometry, Statistics and Probability.
With
focused SAT mathematics review, students can greatly improve
their SAT quantitative score. SAT Verbal sections will
present
questions to test the SAT Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension, while
the SAT Writing sections will examine skills in Analytical Writing and
Grammatical Proficiency.
SAT is frequently a pre-requisite for admissions
to colleges and universities. Admissions and Financial Aid
Offices emphasize the SAT scores and base their decisions on a
combination
of factors including the individual section scores on the SAT, the
number of times a student has written the SAT test, and the improvement
of
the SAT scores between SAT tests.
Official SAT tests are administered during the academic year.
Some students find the summer season ideal to review for the
SAT in depth and prepare at their own pace.
We offer SAT preparation courses, lessons, tutoring and
review
any
time during the year. Accelerated SAT preparation and review
courses may be structured and delivered upon request.
Students can choose to take the ACT. SAT and ACT
fundamentally test
similar skills and knowledge, but one test may be more suited to the
general skill set of an individual student than the other. We
advise students to
choose between or take both the SAT and the ACT after we analyze
students' specific academic background, skill set, and academics goals.

the College
Board SAT website.
If you choose to enroll in one of our preparation classes or
private tutoring review sessions, the College Board free SAT practice
test will serve as the
diagnostic.
